Ebey has been passionate about interpreting financial statements and uncovering the story behind the numbers since the age of 16 — perhaps a passion inherited from his father, who has over 45 years of experience teaching Chartered Accountancy.
After over a decade of experience working in industries ranging from manufacturing to retail, IT, healthcare, and public accounting, Ebey discovered a missing piece for small business owners: straightforward financial education and a trusted partner to support their growth and thus, PalmUpLife was born.
Ebey has been grounded in spirituality since childhood and takes pride in bringing the values and ethics he has learned into his work.
His favorite number is 3 — symbolizing the Trinity in spiritual terms and reflecting the fundamental accounting equation: Assets = Liabilities + Equity (A = L+E).
In his spare time, Ebey is an avid motorcyclist (weather permitting of course) and has taken countless trips across BC, including his longest journey (till date) in late summer 2025, riding from California to Vancouver. An absolute animal lover, he grew up caring for three German Shepherds, twelve bunnies, three talking parrots, and two geese—all at the same time.
Today, he shares his home with two of the world’s most adorable cats – Bowie and Rainbow, and maintains three planted fish tanks with around 200 fish.
With more than 15 years of experience in Cost Accounting, Angel believes education is key to financial clarity. She takes pride in helping clients understand their numbers so they can make informed, confident decisions.
She actively engages with the team and helps everyone stay connected, even outside the office. As we all know, life can get rough and unpredictable at times—but it’s the comfort of a close-knit team that helps one bounce back after a storm, just like the humble palm tree.
Her favorite number is 7 — symbolizing completeness and rest. Inspired by the biblical account of God creating the universe in six days and resting on the seventh, Angel values the importance of balance between hard work and renewal. Working six days a week, she considers the seventh day essential for restoring both body and soul.
Outside of work, Angel loves reading across a variety of genres—from fantasy in her teens to romance, and now thrillers—though her all-time favorite remains The Chronicles of Narnia, especially The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, where she imagines herself as Lucy.
Angel loves living in Greater Vancouver, where the weather can shift from rain to sunshine in just minutes. She especially enjoys how each season paints the city with color, from the cherry blossoms of spring to the vibrant leaves of autumn!
As Manager of Individual Tax Services at PalmUpLife, Siju ensures every client receives personalized guidance and expert care. His calm approach and attention to detail make tax season a smooth experience for everyone he works with.
Siju is a Licensed Financial Planner with a strong foundation in personal finance and taxation. His professional training allows him to simplify complex financial matters and help clients make confident, informed decisions.
Siju’s favorite number is 40 — simply because he loves the sound of it! To him, it carries a sense of balance and calm, just like the steady rhythm he brings to his work and life.
When he’s not at his desk, Siju enjoys camping with his family and spending time outdoors. Being surrounded by nature helps him recharge and stay grounded in gratitude. He is also an excellent musician (in-born talent) and can play over 10 different instruments.
Siju loves the incredible mix of cultures that make Greater Vancouver so unique. He appreciates how people from all walks of life come together to create a community full of flavor, color, and connection.
Sathish serves as Manager of Client Services, bringing strong leadership skills, a client-first mindset (always), and a passion for building meaningful relationships. With a MBA and Bachelors in Commerce, he blends strategic thinking with a people-oriented approach to ensure clients receive exceptional service and lasting value.
Sathish’s favorite number is 2— which makes perfect sense for someone who values balance! In accounting terms, for every debit, there must be an equal and opposite credit – a philosophy he applies not just to ledgers, but to life itself!
Sathish loves spending time with his children and exploring new cities. He is a passionate traveler, and has explored many places including South Asia: Thailand, Dubai, Singapore, Andaman, Sri Lanka, just to name a few. Yet, Vancouver, BC always holds a special place in his heart for its warm people, incredible food and stunning beauty!
Helen is passionate about numbers and technology. With a Master’s degree in Information Technology, she combines analytical precision with innovative cloud-based solutions to help businesses streamline their financial operations.
Helen’s favorite number is 5 — fitting for someone in accounting! After all, she believes every ledger should balance to the fifth decimal place (just kidding… kind of). Whether it’s reconciling accounts or chasing that perfect trial balance, the number 5 keeps her in harmony — halfway between precision and perfection.
Outside of work, Helen finds joy in singing (she’s pretty good at it!) and dancing (still a work in progress, she admits with a smile). She also loves to cook and try different cuisines.
As a Junior Cloud Bookkeeping Specialist, Binta’s role involves transforming spreadsheets into efficient systems and numbers into narratives.With a BBA specializing in Accounting, she enjoys coming up with innovative ways to make financial data more understandable for our clients.
Her favorite number is 2 — because it stands for harmony, balance, and partnership—all of which are essential in accounting (and life, for that matter!).
When Binta is not crunching numbers she loves to travel, experience local cultures, and gather small mementos from around the world. Greater Vancouver’s lifestyle is what she adores the most, simply because in just a few minutes after work, you can get a coffee, and be in the mountains or by the seaside. It’s the ideal balance of urban activity and natural beauty.
Nora is the first point of contact for our clients and partners. She ensures every email and inquiry is handled with warmth, clarity, and professionalism, making every interaction feel effortless.
Nora holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business, giving her a strong foundation in organization, communication, and customer service — skills she uses daily to keep our operations running smoothly.
Her favorite number is 13 — while many consider it unlucky, Nora sees it as her lucky charm. Most of her best moments in life have happened around this number, making it a symbol of positivity and good fortune for her.
For Nora, it’s all about the food! She loves how Greater Vancouver offers cuisines from all over the world, and as a true foodie, she enjoys exploring every flavor this multicultural city has to offer!
Rainbow is always ready for a meeting and never shy in front of the camera. He loves to talk (a clear chatter-box), absolutely adores cuddles, constantly gets his cheeks marked literally on everything, and spreads smiles wherever he goes. He always knows when a little extra cheer is needed, and his surprise Zoom appearances make everyone’s day brighter.
We think Rainbow’s favorite number is 2 — because there’s only two things he is addicted to – his food and Ebey! If Ebey is home he sticks to him like glue no matter what time of the day.
Bowie starts his day with purrs and snuggles, then switches into full-on play mode when the mood strikes. He often stays very calm and barely speaks. However his purr never stops be it day or night which gives him the title of Chief Purr Officer at PalmUpLife.
When he’s not curled up nearby, he’s chasing shadows and injecting just the right amount of mischief into the workday.
Without a doubt Bowie’s favorite number is 1 — his one and only favorite person in the world is Angel. With Angel he shows zero attitude and zero ego.
